WHEELBASE DATA SUMMARY
TRK CTRS are the dimension from center to center of truck bolster, not the jacking pads. WHB is the wheelbase of the individual truck. This data is for units as delivered from the manufacturers. AAR type "A" trucks used on switcher units had a whb of 8'-00".
AAR type "B" trucks used on road units had a whb of 9'-04" with GE traction motors and 9'-10" with Westinghouse traction motors.
BLOMBERG type "B" early EMD truck used on 4 axle road units 9'-00".
BLOMBERG type "M" later EMD truck used on 4 axle road units 9'-00".
FLEXICOIL 4 axle truck used on some switcher units had a whb of 8'-00", another version used only on the FL9 had a whb of 9'-00".
NOTES FOR EMD 6 WHEEL TRUCKS
FLEXICOIL C1 truck early sideframe castings, whb of 13'-07". Wheel centers are 6'-09 1/2" and 6'-09 1/2". These trucks have three brake cylinders mounted at top of each sideframe and clasp type brakes. These were used on the SD7,9,18,24, early 28 &35's.
FLEXICOIL C1M truck early sideframe castings, whb of 13'-07". Wheel centers are 6'-09 1/2" and 6'-09 1/2". These trucks have been modified to two brake cylinders mounted at top of each sideframe and single shoe brakes. Seen on conrail SD50's.
FLEXICOIL C2H1L truck modified sideframe castings, whb of 13'-07". Wheel centers are 6'-09 1/2" and 6'-09 1/2". These trucks have two brake cylinders mounted low and one nounted high on each sideframe, single shoe type brakes. Introduced early 1967. Pictures are the best answer the question of which unit had which trucks. Some SD38, 40 & 45's used these trucks.

FLEXICOIL SPECIAL
The SPECIAL trucks used on the SDL-39 were 3 axle with a wheelbase of 12'-02". Uneven spacing of 5'-06 1/2" and 6'-07 1/2".
HTC TRUCKS have a wheelbase of 13'-08"
A-1-A units used on EMD passenger units to reduce axle loading had a whb of 14'-01".
