Note 1: When the cabooses were rebuilt during the 1968-71 period they were renumbered from 4 digits to 3 digits. After 1968 all new cabooses were given 3 digits.
Note 2: X200-X250 and X260-X271 were classed as "local" cabooses and had the bays painted yellow.
Note 3: X327-X592 and X600-X793 were classed as "road' cabooses, these had journal mounted generators for radios and electric lights.
