PULPWOOD HANDLING PICTURES


Many of these pictures are of the Paper Mill at Franklin,Va. All pictures date in the mid 40's. The aerial view was taken in 1948. These show how pulpwood was handled in this area. The Franklin & Carolina was a short line(12 miles)running from the Mill to Franklin Junction, close to Whaleyville,Va., where it interchanged with the ACL.
